Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I talk mostly about books, but occasionally you'll catch me bragging about my dogs.

Treasure Chest

it was inches from my grasp

a power only God could understand

i was lonely; i was scared

the autumn wind sighed fitfully

before it plunged into the raging sea

pushing them

pushing the waves

until its claws dug

into the shoulder of the sand

and tore off

into the dark wonderland

of the sea

bound to a treasure chest

the small hope of a future

the key

needing love

to set me free

I was lonely; I was scared
